Goblin Warlord.

This is a mask I made for a school project.

It is a celtic goblin warlord.

Started out with plastic mask form. Built up with aluminum foil (I'm a poor art student.. gotta work with what I have) for the facial features (nose, chin, cheeks, eye sockets, forehead, ears and horns). Then a layer a papier mache. The backs of the ears are felt, but don't have a good picture of it. The poorly done celtic knots on the horns are because it was a group project, we needed to have a unifying feature on all of our masks. We decided upon a celtic knot, since the other masks were a tree nymph, faerie and elf. They're supposed to represent an ancient celtic mythological hierarchy (Elf = royalty, Faerie = servant, Nymph = protector, Goblin = warlord). I might paint over the knots later..
